Dusk comes down on the city square, and the old tree begins to hum.

Beetle, Squirrel, Bee and Sparrow zoom up the trunk, and click, click, click, click! Each big leaf glows as a friend curls in: blue, purple, gold and pink. Far below, Nib the snail climbs on a slow, silver trail, noticing all the small things the quick friends rush past.

But when Nib reaches the top, every big leaf has a friend. Is there no leaf at all for the slowest one? Then Nib spots a little glint, tucked by the bark where the shadows fall...

A Leaf for Nib is a soft, rhyming bedtime picture book for toddlers. The lights go out one by one as the friends drift off, so little listeners wind down page by page, until only one small silver light is left glowing.

A chantable refrain toddlers can say along with you
Counting clicks, one to four, as each leaf lights up
A gentle story about noticing, patience and kind friends
Soft watercolor art of a glowing tree on a city square at night
A quiet, color-by-color lights-out ending for the last book of the night

For ages 2 to 4.
