She worked for York Archaeological Trust for many years, as part of the team working on the Coppergate, Fishergate and Hungate projects. Teaching adult education has long been an interest, most recently at the Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of York, and she is a Research Associate at both the Department of Archaeology and at York Archaeological Trust.
