The Edge of the Blade is a heart-stopping dagger to the throat romantasy, perfect for fans of the high-stakes tension in Mai Corland’s The Broken Blades trilogy.
‘One winner; one loser. Freedom or death.’
nThe two deadliest assassins in Edara haven’t spoken since they ended their ill-fated relationship five years ago.
nMarcof holds the top spot in the assassin rankings, but the years of sacrifice have taken a toll on his body. Meanwhile, Armari has spent years living in his shadow, waiting for her chance to overtake him.
nTensions rise when they are reunited, along with two other highly-ranked assassins, and given a near-impossible mission: to drug the king of a distant land. The one who succeeds, and survives, will receive the prize all assassins crave: their freedom.
nBut despite the sky-high stakes, neither Marcof nor Armari can deny the spark that still burns bright between them. As they fight for their freedom—and with it, their lives—the two assassins will have to decide if taking a last chance at love is worth the risk.
nAction-packed and slightly spicy, this witty page turner is a debut to remember.
