Is this God's will for my life?

It's the question that keeps people awake at night. Should I take the job? Pursue the relationship? Make the move? What if I choose wrong?

After forty years as a pastor and evangelist, Michael C. Herbert has walked alongside thousands of people wrestling with those very questions. In How to Know the Will of God?, he shares what decades of ministry have taught him: discovering God's will is neither guesswork nor a rigid formula. It is a pattern believers can learn to recognize.

Drawing on Scripture, life experience, the Holy Spirit's inner witness, wise counsel, circumstances, and the peace of God, Herbert presents five reliable witnesses that work together to confirm God's direction. He also explains what to do when those witnesses seem to point in different directions.

Inside You'll Discover:

• A practical framework for discerning God's will through prayer, obedience, patience, and biblical wisdom

• The difference between God's moral will, which is revealed in Scripture, and His directional will, which is specific to your life

• Honest answers to difficult questions, including a compassionate, biblically grounded discussion of a believer's eternal security following suicide

• Inspiring real-life stories from four decades of ministry, including inner-city outreach, missionary work, unexpected closed doors, and life-changing moments of faith

• Scripture-rich teaching throughout, carefully grounded in the Word of God

Herbert writes not as an academic theorizing from a desk, but as a pastor who has ministered in prisons, rescue missions, churches, and mission fields from Poland to Israel. The result is a book that is deeply biblical, refreshingly practical, and honest about both waiting and uncertainty while remaining confident that God still guides those who seek Him.

If you've ever prayed, 'God, what do You want me to do?' this book was written for you.
