Kiko is a little orange koi with a very big dream.

Above his sunny pond stands the Great Waterfall, where the grown-up koi leap all the way to the Sky Pool. Kiko watches from behind a lily pad - the water is so loud, and the fall is so high, and his fins shake just thinking about it.

Then comes the Summer Splash, when every young fish tries a very first leap. Kiko's first try ends in a tumble and a giggle. His second try? Up past the bubbles, up past the rainbows - KIKO LEAPED!

A gentle, lyrical story about courage and trying again, Kiko and the Great Waterfall shows little readers that being brave doesn't mean your fins don't shake. It means you leap anyway. With Grandpa Koi's wise encouragement and a friend cheering from the lily pads, Kiko learns that courage grows one splash at a time.

Perfect for bedtime reading and classroom story time, this warm watercolor tale is a loving pick for children ages 3-6 who are facing first days, first tries, and anything that feels a little too big - and for the grown-ups who cheer them on.
