My job is to put my hands on the captain every morning. My contract says I can't enjoy it.

Each book in this series features a different couple and a complete happily ever after.

Josie Vandermolen is the Port Ardent Breakers' new head athletic therapist, the only person who can clear Captain Rhett Halloran's rebuilt hip for opening night. On her first morning she signs Clause 9, the club's ban on romance between staff and players: the staffer gets fired, the player goes on the trade list. Then she benches him.

Rhett is thirty-one, cocky and allergic to being managed. He has twenty-three days to get her signature, so he does every rep she orders, holds still on her table and flirts like he's on the power play. What he won't tell her is how much it hurts.

Then, after a preseason game, the training room door shuts and the woman who says no to him all day gives him orders of a very different kind.

Now she's sleeping with the man whose clearance carries her name, in a department that lost her predecessor to this exact mistake, and an insurer's review is about to treat his body as evidence against her license. He'll protect her the only way he knows: by lying harder.

He tells her she's allowed to stop touching him any time. She doesn't.

Spicy standalone hockey romance: workplace forbidden, enemies to lovers, a hidden injury, open-door heat and nonstop banter. HEA guaranteed.
