Our mom was the sweetest person we had known. But she battled with valvular heart disease, which affected her whole life and placed a limit on how far she could go. While I consider it fortunate that she raised me to have a sense of responsibility and resilience at an early age, her passing automatically shifted me into a motherly role for my siblings when I was still a child myself. Nevertheless, I was determined to make the most of my life, and I put in the work.

Before I turned 24, I had graduated from the university, got married, and had my first child. I also started working in a bank, which was quite hectic for me as a first-time mom. Had my mom been around, she would have enjoyed the experience of caring for her grandchild, which is common practice in Nigeria, and it would have greatly relieved me as well. Her early demise meant I couldnt get that support, as I needed it.

My journey continued to be a wild ride. At 25, I welcomed my second child, a beautiful baby girl, and soon adopted my own half-brother and my husbands young nephew. I was later blessed with two other children when I was 28 and 31, respectively, making six kids that I was raising.

I always believed in the mantra that I was made for more, so my family obligations didnt deter me from developing my ambitions as I kept stretching myself far beyond my situation. After the delivery of my third child, I ventured into entrepreneurship and started my own consulting company on a part time basis. I also leveraged my knowledge and skills in fashion design, which I had acquired in my younger years, to start designing elegant clothes for women and eventually set up my own store in the boys quarter of my own home for several years. Soon, I was promoted to become a manager at the bank where I worked.

Wife. Mother. Bank manager. Self-employed owner of two businesses. My ambitions seemed to have taken me farther than my legs could carry me, and they soon began to crack under the weight of demands from all quarters. The pressure was breathtaking.

Stress, burnout, overwhelm, and unhappiness were my ever-constant realities. I felt like a lone ranger stirring a ship in the middle of the ocean, with life-threatening waves tossing me to and fro. I knew I had brought pressure on myself, and I just had to find a way outor throughbut giving up was never going to be an option.

Like every other person, I tried to be a balanced individual, to distribute my limited time, attention, energy, and resources across all areas, but my efforts proved futile. The more I tried, the more I failed. The harder I tried, the harder it got. Then I came to the painful but liberating realization that a balanced life was elusive and, to put it simply, unattainable.

The concept of balance is both simplistic and unrealistic, rather than dynamic and pragmatic. As demanding as our roles can be, their demands on our time, energy, and resources are usually not equal. Some areas may require more or less attention than others. So, the idea of equal distribution cannot apply. Also, if we must make progress in life, we must stay open to the possibility of taking on more responsibilities. But when we talk about balance, we often talk more about drawing boundaries and saying No, which might as well make us close-minded and self-limiting. Thats why its important to focus on syncing your life instead of balancing it.

Syncing your life means aligning all aspects of your life to create positive outcomes at work, at home, and in personal growth. The goal is not to maintain an equal distribution across all areas but to find a unique blend that works for you. A synced life is a state of harmony in which all parts of your life work together to create a rhythmic existence so that you can fully engage in everything without compromising your own well-being and happiness.

Think of it like the conductor leading an orchestra. Each instrument plays a part that contributes to the symphony of sounds that makes the masterpiece the audience hears and comes to appreciate. No one instrument affects the other because they are all attuned to the same rhythm. And should another instrument wish to be added to the orchestra, it is more than welcome. The variety makes it even more beautiful. As the saying goes, the more, the merrier.

When I discovered the dynamic synchronizing technique, it not only changed my perspective radically but also relieved me of undue pressure and elevated my productivity exponentially. And thats why I wrote this book: to uncover practical principles you can follow to achieve harmony between your work, family, health, and personal growth.

So, if youre ready to start your own journey towards finding harmony in life, then you are in the right place. Whether youre looking to improve your marriage or personal relationships, find success and fulfillment in your career, or simply learn how to better manage your time and energy, this book offers invaluable insights and practical advice to help you achieve your goals. Read on, and let me be your guide.
...1230007561030_ScribeTribe Africalibro_electonico_1230007561030_1230007561030Mounfiq AbuInglésMéxicohttps://getbook.kobo.com/koboid-prod-public/18e76d03-6211-48c8-b716-6d35b9b03617-epub-1520c4e1-702c-4158-a3b3-aecb44a3f927.epub2024-03-25T00:00:00+00:00ScribeTribe Africa
