'Anthony Peake is engaged in one of the most important strands of ontological inquiry of modern times-nothing less than unravelling the Gordian knot that is the mystery of our existence.' - Bob Rickard, founding editor of Fortean Times

In Listening to Your Secret Self, leading thinker in consciousness studies Anthony Peake explores the compelling science and philosophy behind dual consciousness-the idea that another level of awareness may exist alongside our everyday mind.

Drawing on fascinating phenomena such as déjà vu and Near-Death Experience, Peake investigates how a deeper or 'higher' level of awareness may occasionally break through into waking consciousness. Could this hidden aspect of the mind subtly guide our intuition, influence our decisions, or shape our perception of time and reality?

Building on themes explored in his bestselling work Is There Life After Death?,this thought-provoking book brings together insights from neurology, metaphysics, psychology, and theology. Along the way, Peake examines intriguing experiences reported by historical figures such as Lord Byron, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Jean Cocteau-individuals who believed they had sensed a mysterious guiding force beyond the ordinary self.

Provocative, accessible, and deeply engaging, Listening to Your Secret Self challenges readers to rethink consciousness, identity, and the true nature of reality.
