Theres eight million stories in the naked city but billions more around the world from the COVID-19 pandemic. This is one of a man stripped down to nothing to realize what matters most.

Escape to Butterfly Ave is a coming-of-age dramedy that highlights a skateboarder-turned-father striving to maintain a bond with his teething daughter during the Covid era. Throughout this fateful weekend, numerous challenges ramp for Al, including a brawl with his drug-dealing neighbor and a fish fry showdown with his babys mommas momma--the infamous, Miss Jackson. Will he witness the bloom of his butterfly from a jail cell, or will he slide past all the drama? Even if he must skateboard through the streets of Long Beach with his daughter in tow, nothing will shut down his hustle. Not even a worldwide pandemic.

Max Evans readjusts the perceptions of fatherhood with Escape to Butterfly Ave while simultaneously revolutionizing fiction by mixing a minimalist approach with an urban flair for an adult contemporary audience.
