When Jeffreys wife Elena, (Lenny) convinces a belligerent Luke go on a man-to-man vacation in an RV with the father he despises hostility reigns until they reach the Grand Canyon where an air clearing blowout brings a fragile truce.

Deciding to go off road they pick up a starving mongrel Luke names Beric and meet grizzled Vietnam Veteran and Campsite Owner Clem Hudson who tells Jeffrey about an isolated lake at the peak of a nearby mountain range. Seemingly the perfect location to further bond with Luke, Jeffrey ignores Clems warning about the hazardous trail leading to the lake and how a dense fog can rapidly descend and shroud the mountains.

For two weeks camped beside the lake all is well until the vigilant Beric warns of a distant rattlesnake, severely unnerving Jeffrey after he shoots it with his Winchester. Grudgingly admitting his ingrained fear of snakes to Luke they hurriedly leave, but when Jeffrey passes the trail back down the mountain the dense mist Clem warned about rapidly descends forcing them to halt for the night.

The next morning they awaken to find that in the mist theyve stopped beside a vast colony of rattlesnakes, three that enter the lounge of the RV via an unsecured side door begin an ordeal of unrelenting terror where father and son, trapped in the merciless heat of the RVs small rear bedroom, have no water, food, access to the Winchester or cell phones. When subsequent events reduce Jeffrey to sitting with a thousand-yard stare imagining he hears his wifes melancholy piano playing, young Luke, using items at hand in the bedroom, conceives an ingenious means of crossing the snake infested lounge to their only chance of survival, the safety of the sealed driving cab.

But is there more than one twist in the tail
...9798223256298_Barrie Davidlibro_electonico_62e75332-0ecb-3a76-80c9-65c7ad131242_9798223256298;9798223256298_9798223256298Barrie DavidInglésMéxicohttps://getbook.kobo.com/koboid-prod-public/draft2digital_ipp-epub-3b221fe4-d15d-46f2-8b5c-8036e2181875.epub2023-07-15T00:00:00+00:00Barrie David
