Jade Monroe came home for Christmas expecting good food, loud family, and a few peaceful days away from the life she desperately needed a break from.

What she didn’t expect was her ex.

Three years after Imani Brooks broke her heart, Jade walks into her mother’s house and finds the one woman she never wanted to see again standing comfortably in the kitchen like she never left. Even worse? Jade’s family knew Imani was coming—and somehow forgot to mention it.

Now, with a winter storm threatening to keep everyone under the same roof for Christmas, Jade has nowhere to run. And Imani seems entirely too comfortable being back in her space.

Old arguments resurface. Old chemistry refuses to stay buried. And when Jade makes it clear that she’s moved on—or at least tries to—jealousy turns an already uncomfortable holiday into something much messier.

But Imani didn’t come home just to ruin Jade’s Christmas.

She came carrying the truth.

Because the breakup Jade has spent three years trying to heal from didn’t happen the way she thought it did. Someone has been keeping a secret, Imani has been carrying one of her own, and one Christmas dinner may finally expose everything.

Between meddling family, unfinished business, mistletoe, too much wine, and feelings neither woman wants to admit are still there, Jade is about to discover that sometimes the one thing you absolutely did not put on your Christmas list…

is exactly what shows up at your door.

This Christmas, somebody’s getting exposed.

Somebody’s getting forgiven.

And somebody might just be getting their woman back.

Merry Ex-Mas.
