The events in the book start when I was a senior in high school trying to talk my Mother into giving me permission to enlist just as soon as I turn 17 years old. I also wrote about some of the interesting things while in high school and about my large family. I felt that it might be of interest to the reader to know that between all my brothers and I we accumulated over 170 years of military service to our country.
