Some things need mending. Others need the truth.

A community repair weekend sounds like just the thing to help Imogen Fenwick settle into life at Maine's Wren & Lantern Inn. Then a cracked leather music case introduces a dead pianist with an unfinished request: deliver a forgotten lullaby to the son he never met.

Imogen can arrange a repair. Arranging a family reunion is another matter.

When the workshop sponsor is found dead, the instruments he promised to a community lending program don't match their donation records. A misplaced card in the mending basket sends Imogen through borrowed cases, private sales, and favors that came with strings nobody agreed to.

With a meticulous ghost porter questioning every label, a rescue cat supervising from a safe distance, and her first proper date with Gabriel Rook finally on the calendar, Imogen has plenty worth protecting. But finding the person who changed the inventory may bring her closer to someone prepared to kill to keep it that way.

Murder in the Mending Basket is Book 2 of The Lost & Found Ghost Mysteries, a warm seaside paranormal cozy mystery series by Laney Lanson. This novella offers a complete murder mystery, gentle humor, a gradual romantic thread, non-graphic violence, and no explicit sexual content.
