A flap. A rustle. A little thump. There is a letter on the doormat—and Timothy's name is on the front.

Timothy lives in England. His cousin Adam lives near Paris, in France. Through their letters, they share school days, favourite breakfasts, birthdays and adventures. Some things are different. Others feel wonderfully familiar.

But when the letters stop arriving, Adam begins to wonder. What has happened to his pen pal?

With warm, dreamy illustrations, My Pen Pal Lives in France celebrates curiosity, family and friendship across borders. Told through letters and gentle storytelling, it invites children to discover another child's world without assuming that one family represents an entire country.

Questions and activities after the story encourage children to notice connections, explore different perspectives and create a connection book of their own.

A welcoming story for shared reading at home or in the classroom.
