One Christmas on Thin Ice

This Christmas, saving the rink might be the easiest part of falling in love.

Clara Bennett has six weeks to organize a winter festival that could save Northstar Arena, the aging hockey rink at the heart of her hometown. With sponsors losing confidence and the town facing a difficult financial decision, failure could cost Clara more than a professional opportunity. It could mean losing the one place that still feels like home.

Nolan Hayes knows what it means to lose everything you thought defined you. A professional hockey player recovering from a career-threatening knee injury, he has returned to Bellwether Bay with an uncertain future and little patience for sentimental promises. To him, saving the arena requires more than memories. It requires a plan that can survive long after Christmas.

Clara believes in the community. Nolan believes in the numbers. Neither expects to depend on the other, but late nights, difficult decisions, and unexpected moments of honesty begin to change the way they see each other.

As Christmas approaches, their growing attraction becomes impossible to ignore. Yet Clara has a career opportunity that could take her away, while Nolan must decide who he is if hockey can no longer be his entire life.

With the festival approaching its final deadline, they must confront the fears that have kept them from asking for what they truly want.

Because sometimes, the bravest thing is not holding on to the life you planned. It is choosing the future you are willing to build together.

One Christmas. One uncertain future. And a love worth taking a chance on.
