She's supposed to ask the questions. She's not supposed to want the answer.

Jessica Bennett does not get starstruck.

She's 28, cynical, running a two-woman music critique blog out of an Austin coffee shop with bad Wi-Fi and a wobbling table. She can annotate liner notes, dismantle a prog-rock time signature, and explain why a chord progression makes you feel seventeen again. What she can't explain is K-pop.

The spreadsheets ranking boys by cheekbone symmetry. The light sticks. The devotion.

So it's cosmically ironic that her tiny operation just landed the interview of the year: ATLAS - four flawless, globally-adored, surgically-synchronized men - and frontman Sol, who was scouted at thirteen, trains like an athlete, funds whale conservation quietly, and carries a keychain that says NO BAD DAYS.

Jessica walks into Zenith Entertainment ready to work. To write the real story: what happens when desire gets industrialized.

Then Sol looks at her like she's the interesting one.

One stripped-down rehearsal. One interview where he answers the questions she didn't ask. One frayed handler, one hovering manager, and one reckless decision to get in his car when the Zenith rideshare crashes and the rain starts hammering Incheon.

It's just a story. Zenith gets its press cycle, Jessica gets the byline that could save her channel, everyone goes home.

Except Zenith has a no-dating policy with teeth, Sol is not used to being questioned, and Jessica is suddenly having wildly inappropriate thoughts about a towel.

She came to Korea to interview a boy band.

She didn't come to fall for the one member she's not allowed to have.

Press Pass is a light, slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers K-pop romance with forced proximity, a grumpy whale-loving idol, and a journalist whose objectivity is professionally, completely, totally dead.
