His fiancée left with one parting shot: 'You've never looked at me the way you look at Cal.'

Theo Marchetti bakes bread at four in the morning, takes care of his grandmother, and has never once questioned the life he was supposed to have. So why can't he stop hearing Marisa's words? And why does his heart trip when Cal Dunn, his best friend since kindergarten, comes home for the summer with nowhere to stay but Theo's spare room?

Cal has had a rule for twelve years: don't fall for Theo. He broke it at seventeen, on the stoop, the night Theo became the first person he came out to. He left Pittsburgh for Chicago to get over it. Now he's back, freshly cheated on, and sleeping twenty feet from the one man he can never have.

Then Theo starts asking questions at midnight over flour-dusted counters. And he kisses Cal on the Ashby Steps.

Cal won't be anyone's experiment. Theo won't stop until he proves this is real. With a job offer pulling Cal back to Chicago and the whole of Ashby Street watching, they have one summer to find out if the best thing in their lives can survive becoming something more.

Rise With Me is a sweet and steamy MM novella about a bi-awakening, a forced-proximity summer, and a nosy Italian grandmother. It has a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
