Ruby the squirrel loves acorns — and she wants them all for herself.

Every morning, Ruby fills her little acorn-cap satchel until it can hold no more. Her hollow in the great oak is stuffed in every corner, and it is all hers. But her neighbors are not so lucky. The mouse family has only three tiny seeds. Robin has no crumbs at all. Hedgehog has a single small berry.

Then one chilly evening, the wind begins to blow, and from her warm, full hollow, Ruby hears a tiny shiver down below. Ruby does not want to give up even one acorn — but the tiny shiver will not leave her heart.

What happens when one small squirrel shares one round acorn? A whole grove discovers that generosity grows: berries, mushrooms, and a lantern-lit feast shared by every friend under the oak.

Ruby and the Sharing Feast is a gentle story about sharing and friendship for children ages 3 to 6, told in lyrical read-aloud language and rich, hand-painted woodland art. A cozy pick for bedtime, classroom sharing lessons, and autumn story time, it closes with a simple truth every little heart can carry: when we share what we have, everyone has enough.
