They have similarities, but also many differences. I was tired of going to church and chanting the same words over and over because that was the required response. No one ever encouraged me to read the Bible and come back with questions. I mean, isnt that the purpose of a church? Why are the Ten Commandments different between my church and others? God didnt give different sets of commandments for different people.

The statement that the Continuing Church of God is committed to the truth, doing the work Gods way, with confirmation of His end time signs, and that is what separates it from other similar groups seemed to me like, oh here we go again! Another church claiming to be right. However, reading its statement of beliefs I was shocked to learn all of the things that I do today that were not taught by Jesus Christ nor His disciples, but are accepted by people claiming to be Christian. Want a few examples? Celibacy is not a requirement of church leaders. Jesus was not born on December 25. Confessing sins to a man and receiving a list of prayers to recite is not repentance. And people dont go to heaven when they die. Do you believe these things? If you do, you may want to read your Bible because it doesnt say what you have been taught to believe.

Beyond these questions, the booklet also talks about Philadelphian Christians. That is the main takeaway I got from reading booklet. The Bible talks about the Church of Philadelphia, in the book of Revelation. That church is the only one that God says will survive the return of Jesus Christ and the Day of the Lord. If you dont know what that will be like just read the book of Revelation. So, wouldnt you want to be with the Philadelphian Church and be safe? To do that you have to follow Gods ways, not the way you want to go or the ways the other churches go. This booklet outlines what is required to be a Philadelphian Christian. You cant be one overnight, but you can start now. Challenge these statements and look them up in your Bible. I did and I really feel that this church is the true one.
...7100079Statement of Beliefs of the Continuing Church of God5858https://www.gandhi.com.mx/statement-of-beliefs-of-the-continuing-church-of-god-9798231958870/phttps://gandhi.vtexassets.com/arquivos/ids/7078040/image.jpg?v=638810380852500000InStockMXN99999DIEbook20259798231958870_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_
I was looking around at all the Christian religions and noticing how each one claims to be the true one.
