A spa designer's murder. Natural hot springs hiding deadly intentions. Harbor Point's luxury resort opening turns lethal...

When prominent resort designer Catherine Wells is found dead in a steam room during the grand opening of Harbor Point's new geothermal spa resort, coffee shop owner Maggie Porter discovers that a unique coffee blend created specifically for the spa's relaxation rituals holds the key to solving the case. What should have been a celebration of Harbor Point's newest luxury attraction becomes a deadly mystery that threatens to expose the dangerous side of natural resource development and high-stakes business partnerships.

As Detective James Cooper investigates while dealing with jurisdictional challenges from outside investors and media attention, Maggie learns that Catherine had uncovered evidence of dangerous disruption to the natural geothermal formations that could endanger both the resort and the surrounding community. When the investigation reveals three suspects with powerful motives—Catherine's business partner being forced out of their design firm, a geologist convinced the resort threatens natural stability, and the spa's wellness director with a mysterious connection to the victim—Maggie must use her expanding expertise in therapeutic coffee applications to determine who had the knowledge and spa access needed to turn a luxury treatment into murder.

With Harbor Point's business leaders gathering for an exclusive VIP treatment session, Maggie realizes that someone has sabotaged the steam distribution system to deliver toxic substances throughout the spa complex. Racing against time while navigating the labyrinthine resort facilities and complex natural formations beneath Harbor Point, she must decode the evidence hidden in therapeutic coffee blends and wellness treatments that could save dozens of lives or cost her own.

As the killer prepares to use the spa's grand opening to eliminate multiple witnesses, Maggie discovers that some natural resources come with a deadly price—and some secrets are worth killing to keep buried beneath Harbor Point's therapeutic waters.
