Frankie Ferrin closes stores for a living. Forty-three of them so far. This Christmas she has come home to close her father's.

Ferrin Hill Christmas Trees has sold balsam on the same New Hampshire hillside for seventy-five years. Frankie has four weeks of season, an auction on the twenty-seventh of December, and a new job waiting in Hartford. What she does not have is a plan for Reid Bascom, who runs the farm now, who is waiting in the cash shed with the same hands, and who, ten years ago, told her to ask him again in a year.

They fight about the farewell sign. They fight about the card reader. They deliver trees in a truck with no heater, save an order of three hundred wreaths, and end up in a ditch together in the snow. And Frankie starts to find out what Reid did with the ten years she was gone.

The Christmas Homecoming at Merriwick is the first book in the Merriwick series: a sweet, clean small-town Christmas romance with a tree farm, a second chance, and a happy ending. The first chapter of Book Two is at the end.
