Her touch awakens Kael, a towering obsidian and silver automaton, the legendary Sentinel and guardian of Aethelgard.</p><p>Kael reveals that the Crystal Heart is a sentient nexus of arcane energy, slowly fading since the Great Dying, which was the initial manifestation of the parasitic Void Blight, or "Shadow Weavers". These intangible clouds of despair consume life energy and aim to devour the Crystal Heart itself. Lyra, possessing an innate connection, begins rigorous training with Kael to learn to channel the Crystals energy, not through brute force, but through "resonance" the earths song.</p><p>She accesses the "Lore-Nodes of the Old Ones," gaining their collective wisdom and understanding the "Primal Resonance" the ultimate defense against the Void Blight, capable of regenerating life energy.
