Who do you become when you are finally responsible for your own life?

Six young adults. One massive, exhausting seaside resort. Three months to figure it all out.

Evan Cole is broke and desperate to avoid asking his parents for help. Maya Reed is a chef in the making, terrified of her first real kitchen. Noah Grant is a charmer hiding a lack of direction behind a neon-yellow uniform. Together with the rest of their ragtag crew—the serious, academic Sophie, the protective, weary Marcus, and the fiercely determined Ella—they arrive at Oakhaven Resort expecting a simple summer job.

Instead, they find a crash course in adulthood.

Between early morning shifts, chaotic dinner rushes, impossible guest demands, and the soul-crushing weight of the 'efficiency bonus,' these six strangers become a lifeline for one another. They fight, they laugh, they make terrible mistakes, and they navigate the friction between who they are and who they are expected to be.

The Last Summer Job is a warm, cinematic, and profoundly human story about the transition into independence. It isn't a story about grand heroes or secret mysteries—it is a story about the messy, mundane, and life-changing work of becoming yourself.

By the end of the summer, they realize that they aren't the same people who arrived in June. They are older, more capable, and ready to face the world—but first, they have to survive the final shift.
