A diplomatic train has been hijacked. A prisoner must be released. And the man behind it is supposed to be dead.

The train was never supposed to stop.

Carrying ambassadors, foreign ministers, and a secret diplomatic agreement designed to prevent a spreading European conflict, the luxury train is suddenly seized in a remote Balkan mountain corridor. Communications are cut. Security teams are neutralized. Armed men take control of every carriage.

Their demand is simple. Release one prisoner, or watch diplomacy collapse.

Washington sends Lena Rowe, one of its most capable crisis negotiators, to manage the unfolding hostage emergency. She knows how to keep people calm under pressure, recognize deception, and buy time when every second matters.

But when the masked mastermind speaks over the train's communication system, Lena recognizes his voice.

It belongs to Gabriel, her husband—the operative she mourned, the man whose death was officially declared three years ago and whose sealed coffin she was never allowed to open.

Now he is alive, leading the hijacking, and demanding access to a passenger hidden aboard the train under a classified security protocol.

The prisoner is Dragan Kostic, a powerful Balkan figure whose secrets connect governments, covert operations, and crimes that could ignite an international conflict. Gabriel claims the prisoner exchange is part of a much larger conspiracy. But his methods are putting innocent lives at risk, and Lena has no reason to trust the man who disappeared and left her to grieve.

As armed teams close in, an assassin moves among the hostages, and the train becomes a battlefield, Lena must uncover the truth behind the secret passenger and the people determined to keep him buried.

Every revelation makes the situation more dangerous. Every choice carries a cost. And the closer Lena gets to the truth, the harder it becomes to tell who is trying to prevent a war—and who is willing to start one.

On a train carrying the secrets of nations, the most dangerous weapon is the truth.
