Watertown: Under Color of Law - a children's book, is true tale of municipal absurdity. It is a sharp, witty, and deeply humorous true story of institutional hubris, paper trails, and high-stakes administrative overreach.

When a Massachusetts police department welcomes a 'Gold Standard' multilingual officer with a hidden personnel file—including a forced state police resignation and a multi-state residency fifty-eight miles away—they assume local residents won't look too closely. They certainly didn't expect a sixth-grade English teacher with an eye for structural flaws to grade their homework.

From fictional street names in West Roxbury and federal mortgage affidavits signed under penalty of perjury to early morning school lockdowns triggered by panic-stricken brass, this book chronicles what happens when a compromised administration collides with an unyielding public records archivist.

Proving that safety scissors, pastel highlighters, and primary sources are the ultimate equalizer, this masterclass in municipal satire reveals how heavy-handed intimidation backfires into permanent, open-source comedy.
